Cryptocurrency in the near future, can not replace Fiat money or Bank cards. This was stated by CEO of the online payment service Yandex.Money Ivan Glazachev. He explained that for everyday calculations, the cost and speed of transaction at the crypt is still too high.
Glazachev cited the inconvenience of calculations using cryptocurrencies for buying, for example, a Cup of coffee:
“If I want to buy a Cup of coffee, does not necessarily confirm the whole chain of transactions — the degree of control that the blockchain technology that underlies cryptocurrencies, such everyday calculations just once”.
He noted that Yandex.Money as a payment provider will be ready to conduct transactions using cryptocurrency as soon as the Central Bank of the Russian Federation recognizes them as legitimate. Moreover the online payment service was already such a project, but before the stage start he got.
However, the CEO of Yandex.Money does not exclude that in the foreseeable future crypto-currencies will become more widely used by professional market participants, believing that the technology will find its application in the field of savings and investment.
