The Maltese government considers a significant success of the decision of the Chinese crypto currency exchange OKEx to open an office in the territory of this island state. This was announced by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat (Joseph Muscat), adding that Malta is becoming a jurisdiction of choice for blockchain-companies in the EU and the world.

Chapter OKEx Chris Lee (Chris Lee) has stated that it looks forward to cooperation with the authorities of Malta, as they “act wisely and shares the same values, the most important of which is the protection of traders and the broader society, following the standards of AML and KYC policies, as well as recognition of innovation and the importance of the continuous development of the blockchain ecosystem.”

However, a parliamentary Finance Secretary, digital economy and innovation Silvio Schembri (Silvio Shembri) said that Malta welcomes anyone who wants to do it on blockchain island.

We will remind, three weeks ago it became known that the world’s largest in terms of trading cryptocurrency exchange Binance plans to move the office from Hong Kong to Malta, and run their own decentralized crypto currency exchange. The head pad of Changpeng Zhao (Zhao Changpeng) are also invited to take part in the discussion of the bill triptoreline in this country.
