Omani Finance company BankDhofar has joined the network RippleNet. The Bank reports on its website, it intends to use the blockchain Ripple for cross-border transfers.

Earlier, BankDhofar joined Bankchain – Bank consortium, consisting of 27 banks, launched in February 2017 with the aim of exploring the possibilities of applying blockchain technology in the financial industry.

“We can now provide instant, secure and seamless cross-border remittances, which will be carried out within seconds and have end-to-end transparency to the whole route”, — he said.

BankDhofar does not specify what solution from Ripple he intends to use and whether the involved cryptocurrency XRP to achieve this goal.

Joining RippleNet is part of a larger program BankDhofar “Together 202o”, in which he intends to become a leader in the banking industry of the Persian Gulf region, utilizing my system’s innovative solutions and providing its customers with superior service.
