Federal service of corrections and U.S. marshals announced the auction, which will be sold 660 of bitcoins previously seized by law enforcement. The current market value for sale moent is about $4.3 million, writes CoinDesk.

Offered for sale bitcoins were seized during a Federal criminal, civil and administrative investigations.

The auction will be held on November 5, to participate you must register no later than 31 October and make a Deposit in the amount of $200 000.

The auction will be divided into two parts and include six blocks of 100 BTC and one block of 60 BTC. Participants auksina not be able to view other people’s bets or change their own.

The Ministry clarified that part of the auctioned assets includes bitcoins seized during a recent investigation of traders of Theresa Turley and Thomas Mario Costanzo. Teresa Tetley in July was sentenced to a year in prison on charges of trade cryptocurrency without the appropriate license and money laundering obtained from drug trafficking.

Police officers do not report what part of the bitcoins seized from Tetley and Costanza, put up for auction, but previously it was known that the first was taken 40 BTC and another 80 BTC.

Two previous major auction of confiscated bitcoins took place in USA in January and March of this year. In the first case, 3813 BTC was sold in the second – 2170 BTC.
