The bitcoin exchange Bitfinex, which conducted this Tuesday technical work, faced with the “extremely high burden”. The information was posted on the page to track the status of the service.
The first version of Bitfinex was a DDoS attack, which began shortly after restarting the platform. This same version was confirmed later.
“The reason for the unavailability of the platform is detected. DDoS-attack was launched shortly after we resumed work. The previous episode was associated with problems one of the suppliers of our infrastructure”, — writes the stock exchange, adding that taking the necessary measures to withstand an attack.
At the time of publication the performance of the platform was restored, however, Bitfinex notes that will monitor the stability of service in the near future.
Last year Bitfinex repeatedly faced with similar problems.
