Cryptocurrency Exchange startup Union carried out a successful atomic transaction between bitcoin and Litecoin using two LND-node on the basis of old branches on GitHub LND.

The transaction took place without registering on both blockchains, respectively oncein-tracking is impossible.

The concept of atomic transactions first described in 2013, Tier Nolan. This technology allows users to exchange cryptocurrencies from different blockchains without the involvement of third parties. It atomically swaps underpin the Peer-to-Peer trading on decentralized exchanges.

Note, the atomic swaps are carried out on bestoverture basis.

Recall that the first atomic transaction between bitcoin and Litecoin were held startup Lightning Labs in November 2017.
