The Ministry of industry and information technology of the PRC will conduct the rating on blockchain projects. This is stated in the message center for the development of IT industry of China (CIID) is a research division of the Department, which is responsible for advising on policy development in the field of technology.

In the first batch of projects to be evaluated are 28 virtual currency and tokens, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Bitcoin, Cash, NEO, Verge and Stratis.

The rating will be published “soon” and only on the official website CIID. What criteria will be evaluated these projects, the Center message is not specified.

Earlier this week it became known that the national standards in the field of blockchain in China will be ready by the end of 2019. They will cover such issues as the basic technology, business application and security.

Despite the negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies, the Chinese authorities consider the development of blockchain technology as one of its top priorities and encourage investments in this area.

Last month, authorities in the Chinese city of Hangzhou said will invest 10 billion yuan (about $1.6 billion) into a special Fund that will provide financing for blockchain projects.
