Japanese giant in e-Commerce Rakuten announced the release of its updated mobile app Pay Rakuten. According to a press release, the release will take place on March 18. Apparently, along with the usual money now the application will support and cryptocurrencies. According to the materials of the presentation of the company for the fourth quarter and full 2018, the new version of the application will be presented to “all payment solution within a single platform”.
As in January, reported Cointelegraph, Rakuten, which is informally considered the “Japanese Amazon,” revised corporate structure. In the restructuring plan of the company is to launch cryptocurrency exchanges Bitcoin Everybody’s in the newly created payment subsidiary of Rakuten Payment. The daughter company, formerly called Spotlight, will also include a pre-paid card Rakuten Edy.
