Cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex on Monday evening announced an unscheduled halt in trading on its platform.
The exchange has been placed into maintenance mode due to unplanned maintenance required. Trading has been disabled. Funds are safe.

“The exchange was transferred to the maintenance schedule because of the need for unscheduled maintenance work. Trade was suspended. Funds are safe,” wrote Poloniex at 21:06 GMT on Twitter.
The reason for the suspension of service, the company does not call. Earlier, similar incidents occurred on Poloniex from time to time, but in recent weeks the stock exchange was stable.
In the middle of the month Poloniex reported a significant increase in performance and reliability of its platform with the latest update.
