The largest cryptocurrency exchange Poland Bitbay will move to Malta because of the refusal of local banks to cooperate with the company. The platform stores domain bitbay.net and trademark. This was reported on the website of the exchange.
“Unfortunately, the last Polish Bank bills of exchange, had taken a unilateral decision on the termination of cooperation with BitBay at the end of may. In these circumstances, we are unable to provide high quality services in Poland”, — stated in the message.
By June, the exchange will block access to accounts in PLN, however, all other functions on the site will be available until 17 September. Since September 18, users will only be able to withdraw funds without the possibility of replenishment.
According to the leaders of BitBay, Malta was chosen because of the favorable attitude of the authorities to kriptonyte.
Note BitBay provides access to 29 digital currencies, has more than 800 million active users, handles 125 transactions a minute and has over 200 employees that did the largest crypto currency exchange platform in Poland.
