The international company Group-IB, specializing in the prevention and investigation of cybercrimes and fraud with the use of high technology, has developed a new safety rating cryptocurrency exchanges. Experts on the basis of the data collected was assessed which exchanges carry the minimum insurance risks in the insurance program, the proposed IT platform CryptoIns. The safe was recognized as the Kraken, while OKEx, Huobi Pro, Coincheck, and a few others were at the end of the list.

The exchanges were assessed on criteria such as technical safety, reliability, storage of keys, passwords, and personal user data as well as the effectiveness of systems of risk prevention and implementation of the laws on verification of identity of clients and anti-money laundering.

The exchange was divided into four categories. Kraken, the only stock exchange that is included in the first group, was recognized as the safest, with a rate of insurance premium of 1.25%.

The second group of analysts included Coinbase and Bittrex Pro (in their case, the rate of insurance premium from CryptoIns was 1.5%).

The third category included Binance, Bitifinex, Bithumb, Bitmex, Localbitcoins, MyEtherWallet and Poloniex (1.9 per cent).

The fourth group comprises the exchange with a minimum level of security, Bitstamp, Bit-Z, OKEx, Huobi Pro and Coincheck. Interestingly, OKEx, despite such a low rating, earlier this week was named “exchange of the year” in the framework of the Malta competition Malta Blockchain Awards.
