In recent years an increasing number of projects that aim to make bitcoin transactions more fast, safe and cheap.

One of them is the wallet Spark that facilitate sending and receiving bitcoins with the implementation of the Lightning Network called c-lightning.

Network Lightning Network continues to grow and provides more rapid transaction between nodes. Now she got an extra push thanks to new developments like Spark.

Spark – new online wallet with a graphical user interface (GUI). It is compatible with the application of Electron for the operating systems Linux, Windows and MacOS. It can also be used on Android and soon on iOS.

“Simple Spark interface allows you to easily send and receive bitcoins using Lightning Network. The user can now run your own validation bitcoin node, its own node of the c-lightning, and Spark your own GUI to use the Lightning Network, less reliance on the trust of other members of the network”, – stated in the article “Spark: a New GUI for the c-lightning” user grubles on Medium.

Meet Spark: a minimalistic GUI wallet for c-lightning
Simple and minimalistic, completely offcially supports desktop version and mobile devices, automatic TLS and Onion.

One of the main functions of the Spark is that it allows users to make ofcan transaction with Lightning Network. In the technical documentation Spark States that the purse is fully focused on the implementation of the transaction out of the blockchain.

“The point is that you can run node c-lightning on your home server or in the cloud to remotely connect to it using your phone. Your phone should not be in the network, but the server needs. The server can manage several wallets”, wrote on Twitter developer purse Nadav of ivgi.

Technology Lightning Network promises to significantly improve the performance of bitcoin, greatly increasing network throughput. It is a decentralized system in which users can create bestoverture micropayment channels to perform one or more payment transactions outside the main blockchain.

Transactions executed in the payment channel happens outside the blockchain. When the channel is opened, it is possible to make any offscan transactions, but after closing it the end of all his transactions as one transaction will be recorded in the blockchain of bitcoin.

Looking at the chart below, the bitcoin network Lightning Network continues to grow. According to p2sh.info at the time of this writing it has more than 3288 public and gcd 11575 channels. In addition, a total of the channels at the moment is 93 of bitcoin.

At the moment, the above specification Lightning Network, which is called lightning-BOLTS or RFC, there are three different companies. While each of these companies develops its own Protocol implementation Network Lightning: Lightning Labs is working on Ind, ACINQ – over Eclair, and Blockstream – on c lightning (which Spark uses as a backend).
