In April 2018, the unknown attacker managed to access the account is the largest manufacturer of mining equipment, Bitmain is on a bitcoin exchange Binance. The hacker used 617 BTC ($5.5 million at the exchange rate at the time of breaking) to the pump prices of the token MANA. So, the price of MANA on Binance just over an hour rose from $0.12 to $0,34, and the average rate by 40% to $0,20. This probably allowed the attacker to sell an unknown number of previously purchased coins. The suit said the hacker transferred about 2.3 million MANA from Bittrex on Binance, and the received bitcoins back to the American exchange.
Lawyers Bitmain in the proceedings expect to receive account information of an attacker from the Binance and Bittrex to identify the thief.
