Argentine Bank Banco Masventas entered into an agreement with cryptocurrency exchange Bitex for the implementation of cross-border transfers using bitcoin. For Bank customers, the service will be available this week, according to CoinDesk.
In the processing of international payment, the Bank will contact Bitex as the service provider.
“Our customers get the transparency, they don’t work with bitcoin and don’t see it. We provide them with a service, and they do not come into contact with bitcoins”, — said the representative of the crypto currency exchange.
In turn, Banco Masventas hope that the cooperation will help to develop the digital services of the Bank and will reduce the Commission for the implementation of cross-border payments.
Note that this cooperation was the first example of the use of bitcoin is an Argentine financial institution for the implementation of cross-border payments.
We will remind, earlier in may, the company Odyssey Group has announced plans to launch in Argentina 4000 terminals with support for bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum.
