Major Asian cryptocurrency exchange Huobi has announced the launch of a new trading platform in Australia. Trading platform available from this week.
The new platform supports the exchange of digital currencies on local currency — the Australian dollar. Just traded ten pairs, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin cash (BCH). In the near future, the exchange promises to add more trading pairs.
The head of the new unit Huobi in Australia Adrian Harrison (Adrian Harrison) believes that Australian investors have a great interest in the cryptocurrency sphere and know its features. The same thing, in his opinion, can be said about the governing bodies of the country, which will seek to secure the development of the market.
In addition to carry out exchange activities, Huobi plans to cooperate with local blockchain project: the establishment of a partnership exchange is ready to allocate $200 million from its investment Fund for Global Ecosystem Fund, and will also provide startups with consulting services. In addition, Huobi became a partner of the Australian Global Blockchain, the company that operates a startup incubator. Their joint goal is to promote rapid adoption of cryptocurrencies in Australia and around the world. As stated by the CEO of Blockchain Global Sam Lee (Sam Lee), their cooperation with the Asian exchange was a “win-win step for the entire cryptocurrency market in the country.”
Lee added that the Blockchain Global technical expertise and interacts with regulatory agencies, industry organizations and investors, set the stage to launch trading platform Huobi in Australia. In his opinion, this will attract many cryptocurrency assets in the country, including the most popular bitcoin and ether.
Note that to date, Huobi has the third highest volume of trading in the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. Daily trade amount on the platform is $713 million last week, the exchange opened an office in London, and on 15 June started the auction at a new venue in the US managed by a specially created company HBUS. In addition, Huobi already has offices in Canada and Brazil.
