The largest manufacturer mining equipment Bitmain introduced a 7-nanometer ASIC chip called BM1397 focused on the SHA256 algorithm [first bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash].

We’re proud to announce the BM1397, our all-new 7nm ASIC to mine cryptocurrencies using the SHA256 PoW, thus far our most efficient ASIC. Learn more: https://t.co/cW3Sh2IgNL

Representatives of the company stressed that BM1397 consumes 28.6% less energy than the previous version. The ratio between energy and computing power is of the order of 30 j/tirages.

The new chip is built on the basis of a 7-nanometer FinFET processor from the Taiwanese TSMC.

Bitmain built development in ASIC devices S17 and T17, the release of which will take place in the near future.

Recall that in September 2018 Bitmain has introduced a chip BM1391 energy efficiency 42 j/tirages.
