Singapore airlines has officially announced the launch of digital blockchain wallet KrisPay by which program participants frequent flyer KrisFlyer will be able to transfer their accumulated miles into the “digital mile” KrisPay and partially or completely pay them in 18 local service outlets.

It is reported that the crypto was developed in collaboration with the KPMG Digital Village and Microsoft. The app can be downloaded in the Apple Store and Google Play Store and then to exchange traditional miles digital, valid for 6 months.

The presented solution allows to carry out operations with savings from 15 miles, which equated to 10 Singapore cents ($0,73). During the launch phase partner airlines will also provide users with KrisPay discounts on products and services. In the future affiliate network program intend to expand through new stores and services and offer frequent flyers will be special promotional prices on certain goods.

We will remind that about plans to translate the program of loyalty for passengers on the blockchain in Singapore Airlines announced in February of this year. Guide Singapore Airlines intends to make the company global digital leader among airlines.
