Google Trends data show that in 2018, bitcoin has become the most popular search query in the category “What is… ?” among Internet users in the US and the UK.

In the US, bitcoin on the request, for example, bypassed the “What’s racketeering?” and “What is the suspension of the activities of state institutions?”, in the UK – “What is GDPR?” and “What is a nerve poison?”

Note that bitcoin was not the only cryptocurrency-related term that were in the top Google Trends.

So, a very popular search query “How to buy Ripple?”. In the US, it fell to fourth place, while the query “buy bitcoin” ranked only eighth place. In the UK, the inquiry “How to buy Ripple?” was in seventh place.

In early November, Google Trends data showed that since September, the number of search queries for “Blockchain” increased requests “Cryptocurrency”.
