Venezuela is discussing the possibility of the purchase from Russia of spare parts for KAMAZ vehicles for the cryptocurrency el Petro. This was stated by Minister of foreign trade of Venezuela Velma josé Mora (José Vielma Mora) following the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental Commission (IGC) in Caracas.
The Minister said that the participants of the meeting discussed cooperation with the company “KAMAZ” on procurement of spare parts, tires and batteries, as well as the subsequent Assembly of trucks in Venezuela. Among the forms of payment offered on consideration to the Russian side, there is a national Venezuelan bitcoin el Petro.
In addition, the Minister Mora discussed with the Deputy Minister of industry and trade of Russia Oleg Ryazantsev , the possibility of abolishing the customs duties between the two countries.
As we reported earlier, the first day of the IPC Russia and Venezuela, among other issues, discussed the possible use of the Venezuelan El Petro cryptocurrency for international transactions.
