The Stellar developers of the project intend to carry out the idea that the CTO and co-founder of Stellar Development Foundation Jeb McCaleb proposed in 2015, namely to introduce the technology of Lightning in the source code of the blockchain Stellar and to solve thus the problem of scaling. It is reported by CoinDesk.

“Now that the technology works in the bitcoin network, we will be able much faster to implement it”, — said McCaleb.

Stellar plans to launch its own test version of Lightning in a test network before April 1, and client to the main network in the fall.

It is known that the project has attracted a bitcoin developer Jeremy Rubin. The team is also waiting for feedback from the community.

We will remind, startup Lightning Labs has introduced the first beta version of the client Lightning for the core network of bitcoin lnd 0.4.
