The Chinese state grid company of China Southern Power Grid has recorded the theft of electricity in the city of Fansun Guangdong province. As reported Bitcoin.com high voltage cables were illegally connected to the attic of one of the buildings that housed mining farm.

According to the publication, use of electricity for miners provided constant charging 56 of smartphones that had installed the application for hashing, and several ASIC devices.

In total, the miners stole 33 thousand kWh of energy. According to engineers Power Grid, this could be enough for production of several bitcoins.

Currently, the owners of the farm were arrested on suspicion of theft of electricity on a large scale. Law enforcement agencies carry out investigative actions.

Earlier in April it was reported that China had revealed a major theft of electricity. During the investigation, seized 600 computers for mining, opened criminal proceedings against six people.
