The head of Sberbank German Gref believes that cryptocurrency is a technology, which is overpriced and not Mature enough. This view was expressed on Tuesday in Chisinau, where he held a public lecture on “Technology trends and factors advanced development”.
According to him, cryptocurrency causes unwarranted hype, but the blockchain technology is not yet able to affect our lives.
“Things like cryptocurrency is, of course, chipofya things. All started very actively for them to earn. But we see that the maturity of blockchain technology is still insufficient to enable it to classify those technologies that today can change our lives,” — said Gref.
Gref believes that artificial intelligence is “new electricity” and “driver of exponential growth”, in contrast to the blockchain technology.
