The Chairman of “Gazprombank” Alexander Sobol said the Bank may undertake pilot transactions with cryptocurrencies through a subsidiary in Switzerland in the current year.
“Some pilot, of course. It will not be on the grandiose scale, but for themselves. There is a demand from large private clients for such services. So we now look like we are the service to organize”, — said Alexander Sobol.
While the transaction with cryptocurrency are being studied subsidiary Bank in Switzerland, as in this country more liberal legislation in the field of cryptocurrencies, said the banker. The specific format of the work with cryptocurrencies is also not yet defined. According to him, is not yet decided, whether the Bank to offer services to clients in this market or invest himself.
To date, transactions with cryptocurrencies in Russia is not legislatively regulated. But on 20 March the state Duma was introduced the bill “On digital of financial assets” and even announced the appearance of the country kryptomere.
