Famous venture capitalist and bitcoin enthusiast Tim Draper (Tim Draper) said that bitcoin is more significant than all of his early investments in Tesla, Hotmail and Skype together.

“This [bitcoin] more than the Internet, Iron age, Renaissance and Industrial revolution. This affects the whole world, and will affect him the fastest and the predominant way that you have ever imagined,” said Draper, during a debate organized by Intelligence Squared U. S in partnership with the Society of Adam Smith of the Manhattan Institute.

The founder of the venture capital firms Draper Associates and DFJ confirmed its forecast of an increase in the price of BTC to $250 thousand in the next four years. He also said his opinion about the displacement of cryptocurrency with Fiat currency in five years:

“In five years you will try to buy coffee with Fiat currency, and they will laugh at you because you don’t use cryptocurrency. I believe that there will come a time, after which you will not want any Fiat currency.”

Opposing Draper in the debate managing editor of the Financial Times Gillian Tett (Gillian Tett) recalled the use of bitcoin in the shadow schemes of high volatility and risks for investors in the cryptocurrency. Draper replied that he was “more secure in bitcoin than the money that is stored somewhere in the Wells Fargo”.

Although according to CoinMarketCap there are almost 1600 of cryptocurrencies, Tim Draper is sure that bitcoin has a huge advantage over everyone. Most likely BTC will win “long-term cryptocurrency battle” due to its market share, said the investor.

Not all bitcoin investors share the view of the Draper about the future of crypto-currencies as means of payment. For example, billionaire mark Cuban (Mark Cuban) inclined to compare bitcoin with gold, because they will never become an alternative currency.
