The Chinese authorities started to block the accounts of cryptocurrency exchanges in social networks. First of all it concerns the most popular im app in China WeChat. It is reported the Beijing financial magazine Caixin.

So, WeChat channel known trading platform OKEx was blocked, and references to previous content direct users to a page with the following message:

“Given the complaints of users, this platform could violate the law. Currently, this account is locked and content unavailable” — so in WeChat explained the situation.

The representatives of the messenger, deny the fact of intervention of the regulatory authorities, but sources have confirmed to Caixin that the government influenced the tightening of censorship against cryptocurrency exchanges still offering services to Chinese investors.

Earlier it became known that the Agency for supervision over safety of public information, China started to monitor the activities of foreign cryptocurrency platforms, as well as local sites that have moved their business abroad.
