Independent rating Agency Weiss Ratings issued a final ranked list of the 93 cryptocurrency.

Unlike the previous version, bitcoin raised its rating to B-. The majority of these assets have been assessed as C; the grades B and B – was rated 14 tokens, including ETH, IOTA, NEO, XRP, STEEM, TRX, and XLM.

None of the bitcoin received a rating of A or B+. Among the assets the lowest rated turned out to BCH, DASH, DOGE, ETC, LSK, LTC, XMR, XEM, QTUM, SC, STRAT, UBQ, VEN, WAVES, and ZEC. The full ranking can be accessed via e-mail on the official website of Weiss until 4 June.

Weiss began publishing cryptocurrency ranking of 24 January on the basis of a “revolutionary model that analyzes thousands of data values about the fundamental technology of each unit, its use and trade patterns”.

The Agency said its rating system:

“Investors should interpret the data in the table like this: A — “excellent”, B as “good”, C — “normal” D — “weak” and E — “very weak”… Plus or minus indicate the position at the top or bottom third evaluations, respectively. Furthermore, there is an F grade for cryptocurrencies that failed in the market or are accused of fraud.” It should be noted that none of the token in the rating Weiss has not received such an assessment.

In the explanatory note, the Agency highlighted that the gap from the highest estimates do not indicate the failure of an asset:

“Bitcoin should be required to have a rating of A, to become worthy of investor attention. B or even B – also actually is a signal to buy. At the same time, you should not be afraid of tokens with a rating C: this is still a passing grade, signifying that the asset is better to hold it.”

In addition to Weiss, a private cryptocurrency ranking was published by the Ministry of industry and Informatization of China. According to this list, the top 5 cryptocurrencies are, in decreasing order of evaluation, Ethereum, Steem, Lisk, NEO and Komodo.
