A major publisher of computer and video games Ubisoft has joined the group of the founding members of the games blockchain-Blockchain consortium Alliance Game. The representatives of the Association announced last Friday at the conference Blockchain Game Summit in Lyon (France).

In addition to Ubisoft, the group founder members included ConsenSys, Playground funding independent games Fig, as well as Enjin, Alto, Ultra, Gimli and EverdreamSoft.

In comments to the online edition of MCV Ultra CEO Nicolas Lived (Nicolas Gilot) spoke in detail about the activities of the group:

“Blockchain Game Alliance supports standardization in gaming blockchain [industry] to create a more interoperable and transparent ecosystem for the benefit of all its participants, due to innovation and support economic efficiency.”

Gaming is one of the most promising areas for the application of the blockchain in the entertainment industry. Ubisoft has already released one game on the basis of the blockchain, Hashcraft, and plans to expand project activities in the field of DLT technology.

In addition to game publishers and producers of graphics cards, the blockchain-industry manufacturers join related software for creating games. So, the developer of the game engine Unity in March announced a collaboration with Kin Foundation.
