Manufacturer of gaming consoles and peripherals, PlayStation, Sony Interactive Entertainment, LLC. announced its first blockchain-game. Plague Hunters, step-by-step shareware strategy Studio Arcade Distillery, will use the Ethereum network for peer-to-peer exchange of characters, weapons and other in-game items.

As a blockchain-c internal marketplace, Plague Hunters uses tokens for Ethereum linking them to traded positions. The developers claim that to successfully trade the players do not have to know the nuances of distributed registries and Ethereum in particular. It is unknown whether the game is progressive change in the value of the character depending on the changes; in a brief announcement published on the website of the game developer, said:

“Create an army of hunters. Train and get them ready for battle. Hunters share with other players on the blockchain internal market.”

The release of the game in the first quarter of 2019; currently Arcade Distillery is also working on versions of the game for Nintendo Switch and the PC. In the future, write the developers, Plague Hunters can appear on mobile devices, and Xbox One.

Plague Hunters is the first game with the introduction of a mechanic on the basis of the blockchain, has successfully passed the audit of Sony and fully meets the requirements of PlayStation.
