The international Finance Corporation Mastercard has received another series of patents on methods of using the blockchain. Three applications published on the website of the Office for patents and trademarks (USPTO) last Thursday, September 13, describe the technology of data recording on the DLT-transactions in real-time, parallel processing.

As the scope of Mastercard cites the example of expenditures of organizations and their members as part of the budget statements. The second most suitable technology MasterCard believes that management accounts: the methods described in applications significantly simplify the process of fixation of payment and monitor the movement of funds.

A separate item in patent applications considers the implementation of technology to track purchases on multi-purpose service platforms. In particular, the text says:

“Digital registers, such as the blockchain, is able to optimize business processes such platforms by storing the data in a completely transparent environment, which is susceptible to audit all the parties involved […] Such a platform can perform a huge number of operational challenges for businesses, while providing increased safety and transparency even in comparison with the specialized counterparts working solely on one type of tasks from the entire spectrum.”

Only for this summer season, Mastercard has received at least five patents on different blockchain technologies and services. These include decentralized travel system, a digital “copy” the card on the blockchain, the anonymous transaction network, and many others.
