The developers Hive OS is preparing to release the second version of the distro designed specifically for mining. The main changes will be on the web page and install the new version of the distribution initially would be required. However, then the updates will “fly” on the end user equipment.

It is reported that user accounts are automatically transferred to your Hive OS 2.0 in a few hours, but now the farm owners can try out new features. Note that after the migration all the changes in the profile are reset to the data from the Hive OS 1 account.

To test Hive OS 2.0 you’ll need to make small changes to the configuration file for mining farm. To change the Host URL is easiest to use the following command: sed -i ‘s/^HIVE_HOST_URL=.*/HIVE_HOST_URL=api2w.hiveos.farm/g’ /hive-config/rig.conf && hello

To return to the original version of Hive OS, you must execute the following command: sed -i ‘s/^HIVE_HOST_URL=.*/HIVE_HOST_URL=api.hiveos.farm/g’ /hive-config/rig.conf && hello
