Customers of Coinbase crypto currency exchange will be available to new service — a gift certificate that can be purchased for the digital currency.

Thanks to cooperation with London startup WeGift, users have the ability to convert virtual currency, which is stored in their wallets on Coinbase, gift cards from more than 120 retailers, among them Tesco, M&S, Uber, Carrefour, Google Play and Costa.

Initially the program will support four scriptactive — Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Cash, Litecoin, and Ethereum, and use it of people from such European countries as Britain, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as citizens of Australia. It is expected that in the future the number of assets and countries included in the program will increase.

“Regardless of whether the customer converts bitcoin in Uber credits or Ethereum electronic gift card ASOS he will have greater control over their scriptactive, as well as more options for their use,” said Coinbase.

It should be noted that the release of a new gift card in the UK was made possible by the license for operations with electronic money, which Coinbase has received from local Management on financial regulation and supervision a few months ago.
