Binance has become one of the investors in the decentralized Bank, created in Malta. The crypto currency exchange announced its acquisition of a 5% stake in Founders Bank banking with the blockchain system, having a pre-investment valuation of $155 million.

Reportedly, the platform for safe investment in startups Neufund will act as a partner of Founders Bank in issuing its equity-tokens (shares), which will meet current legislation.

To ensure that the business has become official, the Bank intends to obtain the license from the governments of the EU countries. In case of success, Founders Bank will be a pioneer among decentralized banks under the control of the owners of the tokens.

CEO Binance, Chanpen Zhao (Changpeng Zhao), commented on this news in his Twitter:

“In Malta there is a confluence of traditional and blockchain-financing. In three short months a lot of things can happen.”

Last month, the island nation became the first country to develop comprehensive laws on the blockchain, and Binance announced its participation in the programme of the Malta stock exchange to create Msx Fintech accelerator, which will support CryptoStream and entrepreneurs.
