Despite reports that the proliferation of token-Grams will be held behind closed doors, the crooks are still trying to capitalize on “potential investors”.

Revision CoinDesk has added a list of sites allegedly selling official tokens blockchain Telegram TON. Reporters informed CoinDesk was able to detect fraudulent online offering to participate in the ICO project on behalf of the Foundation Telegram*. New fake resources have significantly expanded the list; just CoinDesk managed to open nine web pages, namely:

  • toncoin.tech
  • gram-token.org
  • gram.vc
  • ico-gram.net
  • gramm.tel*
  • mailingserver2.com
  • www.telegram.tokyo

Most sites sell one Gram at a price close to one US dollar, and note that the ICO will “end” this weekend. Some pages have a similar web interface, but it is unknown whether they belong samengevat network. In several cases, the same and description of cryptocurrency Telegram:

“We present Gram — the official cryptocurrency blockchain TON. For 200 million (sic!) users of Telegram will be open TON-wallets that will do Grams the most popular cryptocurrency in the world. The network is able to serve millions of users and thousands of decentralized applications, providing them with direct transfer channels for instant translations”.

Check owners of the domain names also pointed to attempts by cyber criminals to make resources more “truthful”. So, telegram.tokyo was registered in the name of the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov and the owner of the domain tonico.info set a Vladimir Timofeev. Information on registration of other pages from the list closed.

Earlier we wrote that participation in ICO Telegram limited to accredited investors. Moreover, fundraising in both the first and the second round was carried out by signing the “common agreement” (SAFT). Thus, direct distribution of tokens will occur only after one or more waiting periods, which can last up to 18 months.

Representatives of the Telegram has not yet announced its actions against new fake web pages.
