Popular Japanese messenger Line on Monday announced the launch of a subsidiary, whose activities will be linked to bloccano.

A company called Unblock will be based in South Korea and will deal with the study of blockchain technology and potential applications based on it.

As reported by ZDNet, the platform aims to connect the cryptocurrency markets South Korea, Japan and other countries of South-East Asia.

Recall that two months ago, the app provider first announced its plans for the integration of cryptocurrency services. As for cryptocurrency services Line, they will be available via the mobile app Line Pay.

It is worth noting that Line is not the only messenger, which is studying the possibilities of the blockchain and cryptocurrency in their services. So Korean messaging platform Kakao in early March opened the same subsidiary for the development of new crypto-applications.
