The Union of European football associations (UEFA) announced the successful testing of the new system of sale of tickets for matches using blockchain technology. As stated on the organization’s website, the new system makes the process of distribution of tickets easier and more secure, allowing them to prevent duplication.

The system was first tested with the sale of tickets for the may UEFA Europa League final between Atletico Madrid and the French “Marcel” at Lyons, where it was sold 50% of tickets.

The experiment will be continued this Wednesday at a meeting in Tallinn the match for European super Cup between Atletico Madrid and a Champions League winner real Madrid. As noted in the statement UEFA, through a special application for iOS and Android was sold 100% of tickets for the game.

Involved UEFA blachan-distribution system of tickets works in combination with Bluetooth mobile devices that are located at the entrance to the stadium.

The organization added that they plan to further develop the system for its further use on other football matches.
