The project developer Drivechain Andreas Becker presented the demo video Sideshift created application for cross-platform exchange of cryptocurrencies. In the test video shows the exchange of bitcoins for Tether USDT network Lightning Network.

To exchange BTC to USDT was involved Eclair mobile wallet for Android devices.

The project is at a very early stage of development, but already users are offered the option in test mode to experiment with its capabilities. However, this requires a special code that the Twitter account Sideshift provides users with a Bitcointalk account age at least two years.

Annex Sideshift something like well-known platform Shapeshift, but it works without the need for verification, which the latter introduced in 2018. Nonetheless, certain restrictions were imposed at this stage, Sideshift, in particular not available to residents of the US and North Korea.

The project Drivechain, part of which is Sideshift, at the time, launched the bitcoin developer and Director of research Tierion Paul Storck. Drivechain has common features with the concept of Saidjanov implemented in such projects as Liquid and RSK, but differs from it in that it supports various alternative baccani, which respectively agree with the consensus of the network of bitcoin.

Currently the app supports the following assets: BTC, BCH, BNB, BSV, DAI, DASH, ETC, ETH, LTC, SAI, SPANK, TUSD, USDC, USDT, XMR and ZEC. For each pair presented its exchange rate.
