Speaking in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on October 1, member of the Board of the party “Movement new forces” Yuriy Derevyanko demanded at this plenary week to consider in Parliament a bill to legalize the cryptocurrency market and ten years to release the digital currency and mining taxes. This is reported by local media.

We are talking about filed Derevyanko bill No. 9083-1 “On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine regarding the taxation of transactions of virtual assets.” It provides for the exemption from taxation of the participants of the cryptocurrency market until 31 December 2029.

Speaking in Parliament, Derevyanko said:

I believe that we need a moratorium for the next ten years for taxation of this sector. We need to organize and legalize this huge segment that will become the locomotive of the new economy. These people — the creative class, which is now in internal exile. We must create the conditions for development and exclude them from this exile.

The draft law also provides definitions of the key concepts of the sphere and describes the bitcoin as “intangible digital assets”.

The party “new force” noted that the bill Derevyanko is an alternative to the document the Deputy from Blok Petro Poroshenko Alexey Musaka “On amendments to the Tax code of Ukraine regarding the taxation of transactions of virtual assets in Ukraine”, which was registered on 14 Sep 2018.

The national Bank of Azerbaijan does not recognize the cryptocurrency as legal tender, but they are not prohibited.
