The Russian state Duma has again postponed the consideration of the second reading of the bill on digital of financial assets (CFA). This time at the request of the head of the Duma Committee on Finance Anatoly Aksakov, who did not explain the reasons for the proposal, the deputies postponed consideration of the document in April.

We will remind that earlier the FSB of Russia sent to the Duma its comments to the document, citing its “excessive adaptability” and insufficient attention to the subject of the laundering of money obtained by illegal means, with the help of cryptocurrency. The bill was introduced in the state Duma of the Russian Federation in March last year and at the end of may passed the first reading. In November, due to several shortcomings the paper proposed to return to the stage of first reading and to change significantly. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has appointed the date to which the state Duma should pass laws, aimed at the development of the digital economy, on July 1.
