The developers of Bitcoin Core has introduced a new version of the software network bitcoin.

The document States that was created after 0.16 releases wallets are incompatible with older versions of the software, however, existing wallets this innovation is not affected.
The new version also there is no option to specify block size for miners, as many of the community members protested against the option “-blockmaxsize”, which allowed the miners to restrict the block size in version 0.15.1. In return, the developers offered to miners “-blockmaxweight” to adjust the block size.
We will remind, in February, the release of Bitcoin Core 0.16.0 with full support SegWit and integration with native address format bech32.
