The staff of the local Prosecutor’s office of Kiev and the National police of Ukraine detained two suspects accused of kidnapping miner in March of this year and the theft of $50 thousand. This is stated in the official press release of the Moscow Prosecutor’s office.
It is reported that brothers (1988 and 1984 years of birth) kidnapped the representative of the cryptocurrency industry near the last house in the Podolsk district, then taken out of the city and, threatening with murder, forced the victim to give them the keys to the apartment and tell them where monies are stored.
Miner had complied with the conditions of the kidnappers, and, seizing $50 thousand, they let him in Brovary.
Now they face up to 15 years in prison for the robbery made by a group of persons upon a preliminary collusion, infiltration and theft in especially large sizes.
Earlier, the Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine conducted searches in Kiev in the investigation of financial pyramids and money laundering through cryptocurrency-related officials of the State fiscal service.
