Cryptocurrency will never go out of “narrow niches” of usage, and the miners are more like counterfeiters. About this stated the head of VTB Andrey Kostin, writes TASS.
According to him, supporters of the cryptocurrency succumbed to the euphoria in the hope to distribute them widely as a means of payment.
“To sit there and mine is to sit and print money. Thought that tomorrow everything will be settled in cryptocurrencies, but this does not happen,” — said Kostin.
He also added that the traditional financial system will be threatened if unregulated cryptocurrency market will become dominant.
In January 2018 Andrey Kostin called the first cryptocurrency “fake” and said that further growth of bitcoin is doomed because of the imminent regulation from the government.
