Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey reiterated that bitcoin could become the native currency of the Internet. He said this on the podcast Joe Rogan.
“I am convinced that the Internet will be the native currency. I suppose that bitcoin could be alone, given the trials through which he passed, and also the principles on which it is built. He was born on the Internet, have evolved and withstood the test of time on the Internet”, — he stressed.
He added that the Cash App from Square, the company will not support other cryptocurrencies besides bitcoin.
In his opinion, the Internet is a digital single nation, which should be a single currency. At the same time, Dorsey noted that bitcoin facilitates people’s access to financial services.
Recall, a similar statement Jack Dorsey did in may 2018 during the panel discussion with the CEO of Lightning Labs Elizabeth stark at the conference of Consensus 2018.
In March of that year he expressed similar thoughts in a commentary for publication to The Times.
