Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes that in the next five years, the number of users of the cryptocurrency ecosystem will grow from the current 40 million to one billion. About it reports TechCrunch.

According to Armstrong, not only the scale of the cryptocurrency ecosystem will increase significantly, but the number of digital assets. Also, more and more commercial organizations will develop their own tokens. The latter, according to him, have the properties of securities and to act as alternative investment targets.

“Every project is open-source, charitable organization, probably each Fund, all of the decentralized organizations and applications will have their tokens”, — shares his opinion the head of Coinbase.

Also Armstrong believes that much of kriptonyte depends on regulation. He is convinced that most of the tokens are related to the category of regulators of securities. However, he added that Coinbase will eventually be able to add support for hundreds of such tokens, if not “millions”.
