Irish independent auction house, Wilsons Auctions, and the Federal government of Belgium signed an agreement under which from 28 February to 1 March under the hammer planned to sell scriptactive $431,660 – 104,99 BTC, BTG and BCH seized by law enforcement agencies of Belgium from drug dealers on the darknet. It is expected that bitcoins will be put up for auction without reserve in lots of 0.5-4 BTC and BTG and BCH – in the larger sizes.

According to the head of the Department of asset recovery in Wilsons Aidan Larkin (Aidan Larkin), the auction house has prepared the infrastructure and established systems, which in future will allow governments and law enforcement agencies of other countries to circumvent the risks associated with trading confiscated by scriptactive unregulated cryptomeria.

Recall that in January were sold through Wilsons 167,69 XMR seized by law enforcement agencies in the UK in accordance with the Law on proceeds of crime. The interest to more than 700 lots was expressed bidders from 69 countries. Earlier, the U.S. marshals Service put up for sale 2170 BTC to $22.9 million and 3813 BTC to $50 million.
