Working with traditional financial assets of Thai companies intend to join forces to launch a new cryptocurrency exchange, reports the Bangkok Post.

Representatives of the local Association of companies operating in securities (Association of Securities Companies ASCO), said that currently the organization is negotiating with regulators of financial market about how to be able to provide services in exchange scriptaction.

Moreover, ASCO stressed that several companies have submitted documents to the Commission on securities and stock exchanges for permission for the launch of cryptocurrency exchanges.

Representatives of the Association also noted that since there is a requirement for separate storage of securities and equity trading platform, profitable companies to unite efforts “with the aim of reducing operating costs and mutually beneficial exchange of innovation technologies”.

As previously reported ForkLog, Thailand entered into force a new law requiring exchanges and other cryptocurrency companies to register with the local financial regulator.
