Teachers of computer science at Stanford University (USA) founded the Center for the study of the blockchain in order to “study and understanding of the technology that promises to fundamentally change” the transactions and financial transactions via the Internet, said in a press release.

The Centre will be headed by computer science professors specializing in the blockchain and cryptocurrency — Dan Bon (Dan Boneh) and David Masters (David Mazières).

The centre intends to combine the efforts of University scientists and industry leaders to develop methods of the most successful practices in the field of blockchain. In addition to the research scientists of the center organize courses for students and professionals involved with bloccano.

Sponsors of the initial five-year programme of work of the research Center of Stanford became blockchain Ethereum Foundation, Protocol Labs, Interchain Foundation, OmiseGO, DFINITY Stiftung and PolyChain Capital.

“The blockchain is becoming more and more important for global business. Stanford should be at the centre of efforts to improve the use and understanding of the many ripple effects of this technology,” said Dan Bon.

We will remind that earlier the School of business at Stanford University has added to its programme of courses on digital currencies and the blockchain.
