Six international banks have announced plans to release its own stabilini on the basis of Fiat currencies, taking advantage of the blockchain-the World Wire system from IBM. Reported by Cheddar.

The announcement was made by representatives of IBM, and Stellar during the conference, Money 2020 Asia held in Singapore. Among those wishing to produce their own “stable” coin: Brazilian Banco Bradesco, South Korea’s Busan Bank, and the Philippine Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.

The remaining issuers are not yet known, however, according to the head of the blockchain-direction IBM Jesse Lund, some of them are going to release stabilini on the basis of the Indonesian rupiah and the Euro.

Developed by IBM and Stellar platform Blockchain World Wire (BWW) was launched last year. It allows banks to carry out real-time cross-border payments. To date, BWW joined 44 of the financial institution.
