Popular cryptocurrency service BitPay began to maintain the operation with a USD Coin (USDC) from a Circle and the dollar Gemini (GUSD). The company announced on their Twitter page.
Clients of the service had the opportunity to use stabilini for settlements. Informed customers of the platform was available for payments only with bitcoin and Bitcoin to Cash.
CEO Steven Pair said:
Service BitPay initially created for fast, secure and cheap payments using bitcoin. The inclusion of a USD Coin and dollar Gemini in the list of accepted assets will give clients the opportunity to use alternative forms of payment.
The company stressed that the USD dollar Coin and the Dollar are stable, as they have real security in the form of U.S. dollars. Merchants can use the service for international transactions. The operation in this case will take more than a day (with the participation of conventional banks, they are usually processed on the next banking day).
