Russian Association of kryptonyte and blockchain (RAKIB) joined the initiative of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs (RSPP), urged the government to change the law about bitcoin.

It clarifies the Agency “PRIME”, RAKIB together with the RSPP participated in the drafting of letters to the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. In the letter, the business called to postpone the adoption of the law on digital currencies until 2019, to more clearly define the concept of cryptocurrency industry and mining.

During his speech at the conference “the Blockchain in the global economy” the head of RAKIB Yuri Pripachkin said that the business is interested in legalizing the cryptocurrency industry. However, you cannot create additional administrative barriers for this segment of the economy, as otherwise it will simply cease to develop.

Pripachkin said:

…In our view, it is the circumcision of the law to the level of the new token, which rotate within companies, the end cryptonomicon. It will be even worse: all the younger generation, which has built its business on the basis of interaction with these cryptocurrencies, being physically in the country, will be registered in other countries, but the Russian economy it did not get.

Still in the Russian legislation there is no definition of mining, crypto-currencies and ICO. In March 2018 in the state Duma received three draft laws on digital currencies and the blockchain. Parliamentarians want to consider this package in the second and third reading before the end of the autumn session.
