Currently, mining of cryptocurrencies in Russia is not regulated, but is not banned. According to RAQIB in this area employ up to 400 thousand people and operates 70 thousand enterprises. Mining of cryptocurrencies are engaged in industrial data centers, and ordinary citizens.
Because the mining process is associated with a significant consumption of electricity on the market there are unscrupulous parties who avoid paying bills using various tricks. For example, according to Delcina, there is such service as organization of the mining-hotels. The organizers offer for a fee to place equipment for mining cryptocurrencies on its platform.
“There were precedents when the creators mining hotels simply disappeared, taking equipment, and the property owner didn’t even know that it was mining-hotels”, — said the head of RAKIB.
As stressed by Weltzin, an initiative of the authority comes from the market participants themselves, who want to work by the rules. At the moment, the miners are preparing the certification standards, the document should be ready before the end of the month, he added.
To receive the certificate, you will need to follow the rules more than 30 points. These will include the availability of the necessary permits, requirements for premises, power supply and legal aspects, said Director RAKIB.
We will remind that earlier RAKIB and the company, “Cryptographers” put forward a joint initiative to provide private Russian miners, whose number is estimated at 350 thousand, the status of self-employed.
